PLACESTO VISIT DURING YOUR STAY AT SAN LEO - BETWEEN ART AND CULTURE

In addition to enjoying the silence and the colors of nature, guests may also take advantage of the cultural and gastronomic itineraries of the surrounding areas. Though San Leo is respectfully acknowledged as the most popular destination in Emilia Romagna, there are many small villages that are well worth a visit.

It will be our pleasure providing you with recommendations. During the summer season, in particular, San Leo and the Valmarecchia are full of creativities, concerts, festivals and other interesting events. However, without taking anything away from the attractions of summer, the quiet and changing landscape that you can find in other seasons are a natural treasure to turn to at any time of the year.

Also remember that it was here at San Leo in May, 1213 where St. Francis received the gift of the mountain of La Verna upon which he built the place of prayer and silence. It is also here that he received the stigmata.

The path, on which we recently reported, is part of the journey on foot from Rimini to La Verna.
